The hazardous waste dealing is a somewhat troublesome healthy issue with consequences if it is not taken seriously. Taking into account this consideration, DHS Services gives an appropriate answer mainly based in the following commitments : 1) Management of the in situ waste stream 2) Survey, controls and consulting 3) Collection and shipment of the hazardous waste following the ADR rules 4) Processing and crushing it to form inert residue that can be considered as household waste and treated as such by being burned at one of the 480 household waste incinerator facilities 5) Controlling those activities owing to Traceability by computer 6) Staff training for waste sorting out
DHS TECHNOLOGY backgroung
Created in July 1996, DHS (Déchets hôpital services) is specialized in the management, collection and processing of the hazardous waste.
The DHS S.A with a capital of 350366 euros sets up at Saint Saulve in new 157 m2 buildings (1000 m2 are for workshops). Innovative and no polluting, DHS operates a disinfection system of hazardous waste.
DHS has been succeeded to deal with Somme, Pas-de-Calais, Poitou-Charente, Pays de la Loire and Morocco. It represents more than 40 production sites with several independent productors and collectors in the provinces of Somme, Pas-de-Calais.
Through the Europe countries, the Hazardous waste management is strictly regulated.
The NF ISO 14000, version 2000 norm (customer satisfaction) and NF ISO 140001 (environment safecare) involve that we must work following writing and controlled procedures. This management method insures the customer of a very good, regulated waste management.
Between the Company, Community and hospitals, we are in charge of the waste management and cleaning. The customer does not have to cope with this constraint and can increase security and productive capacity with respect to law.

The GRV (Big containers for loose waste)
For the Hazardous waste shipment, DHS let at the customer disposal some 660 liters GRV respectful to the ADR law. The GRV are distributed following the estimated weight for a year. This equipment is ratified after a month of collection in order to suit it to the customer needs. Since 1996, the GRV with grey containers have had yellow lids : Reminder of the european codes for hazardous waste. For all its customers, DHS is in charge of the maintening as a preventive. When unloading and as soon as the Maintening responsible is aware of important damages, the containers are repaired. Plastic Omnium Cie repairs or replaces it when monthly maintening operations.are doing. DHS choosed this kind of containers for the following reasons : 1) Those GRV have handles which are easier regarding the security point 2) It is light when empty (38 kg) and makes handling easier and avoid injures (backaches…) 3) Yellow lids suit according to the typology of sorting out 4) The plastic material is easier to clean 5) Small sizes allow accessibility to storage 6) Packaging DHS shares out a complete range of special packages for hazardous waste (packaging respectful of the law of November 2003).
